2. Description of Service

HireSmith is an AI-powered resume builder that helps users create, edit, and export professional resumes. The Service uses Anthropic's Claude AI to generate resume content based on information you provide.

3. User Accounts

You may use certain features of the Service without creating an account. To save resumes permanently and access premium features, you must create an account by providing a valid email address and password. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service to generate false, misleading, or fraudulent resumes
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, copy, or redistribute any part of the Service
• Use automated tools or scripts to scrape or abuse the Service
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Infringe the intellectual property rights of others

5. Payments and Subscriptions

Certain features require payment. By purchasing a plan, you agree to our pricing as displayed. Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. You may cancel at any time through your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your payment card details.

Refunds are available at our discretion within 7 days of purchase if you have not made significant use of the Service. Contact us at support@hiresmith.io to request a refund.

6. AI-Generated Content

Content generated by Claude AI is provided as a starting point. You are solely responsible for reviewing and verifying the accuracy of your resume content before using it. HireSmith does not guarantee that AI-generated content is accurate, complete, or suitable for any particular purpose.

7. Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of the resume content you create using the Service. HireSmith retains ownership of the platform, templates, and underlying technology. By using the Service, you grant HireSmith a limited license to process your data solely to provide the Service.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. HireSmith does not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that resumes created using the Service will result in job interviews or offers.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, HireSmith shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or by displaying a notice in the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Canada, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
